Dan Cordle (MFA and BFA, NYU Tisch School of the Arts) is the founder of The Film Practice, where he teaches On-Camera Performance for Entrepreneurs, Business Professionals, Public Speakers and Performing Artists.    For over twenty-five years he has performed as an actor in New York and Regional theatre as well as in film and television productions. He was a faculty member at New York University’s Graduate Acting Program from 1992 to 2001, teaching Theatre Games/Improvisation and Improvisation for the Camera. While at NYU he directed nine original projects using Improvisation and adaptation. He returned to NYU in 2013, 2014 and 2016 as the director of the Chekhov Film Project.    He has taught workshops and classes in Basic through Advanced Film Acting, Theatre Games and On-Camera Performance for Public Speakers at such places as Heroic Public Speaking, NYU’s Experimental Theatre Wing, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Dean College, Fitchburg State College, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Chautauqua Institute, Sedona Shakespeare Festival and Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival and has coached groups and individuals across the United States.    In addition to his work with performers and speakers, Dan is also a photographer specializing in portrait and fine art photography. His photos have been seen in galleries and published in Modern Bride, American Theatre, Theatre Magazine, The New York Times and several other publications.
